In Amarillo Tuesday a government witness Sam Stock of Dallas testified in the trial of former National Bankers Life Insurance Co. president John Osorio. Osorio, 50, faces conspiracy and embezzlement charges over NBL pension funds once valued at 300 000 dollars. Stock described how funds were used to collateralize a 641 250 dollar stock purchase. Five Apollo astronauts testified they did not authorize a 1970 NBL stock purchase in their names and later rejected the offer.
