Three people died and 19 were injured in traffic crashes on the South Plains and near Lubbock late Saturday into Sunday. James Muldrew 18 and Floyd Nunley 15 both residents of Anton were killed in a Hockley County crash at 11 45 p m Saturday. Mrs Duane Harrod 25 a Farriar Ortundae housewife died in a pickup car crash east of Olton in Lamb County on U S Hwy 70. Duane Harrod 25 and their 3 year old son Duane Jr were hospitalized. Jesus Perez Martinez 21 remained in critical condition in a local hospital after the Olton crash. Highway Patrolman Joaquin See was reported at the scene.
