Austin AP report says Rep. Tony Polumbo proposes a 200 dollar fine for leaving children under 13 unattended in parked cars. The bill, part of about 350 pre filed measures ahead of the session starting next Tuesday, would require anyone 15 or older to be in a parked car if children are present.
Exxon, the world’s largest oil company, has accepted a 10 percent price increase for oil, linked to Venezuela’s nationalized industry. Exxon purchases about 850,000 barrels daily under a two year contract and raised prices 75 to 95 cents per barrel for US east coast customers. Abu Dhabi plans to raise production to 1.8 to two million barrels daily in 1977 to undercut some OPEC members. Local political notes include proposed education and criminal justice reforms.
