A broad rain belt moves from central Florida through New England today, transitioning to snow in the eastern and central Lakes Region. Additional snow is forecast for western Nebraska and nearby areas, with rain affecting the Pacific Northwest.
Sen. Daniel Inouye dismissed a New York Times report that he ordered FBI and CIA to monitor Intelligence Committee members and staff for security violations. He said he asked agencies to inform the panel of any foreign intrusion risks and stressed protection against foreign influence.
The South Plains will see springlike warmth with highs near the mid 50s and bright sunshine. Winds should stay under 20 mph today though a return of gusts is possible later in the week. Several towns reported snow accumulations Friday, with Lubbock at two inches and other areas ranging from one to four inches.
Our Little Miss Pageant in Lubbock will be held at 7 p.m. April 2 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
