FBI Ends Washington Dinner Party by Two Army Men

FBI details a Washington hotel dinner party hosted by two men posing as Army officers. The men A. W. O. L. from Fort Knox fled after cashing bogus checks across Ohio, then traveled to Cincinnati and Dayton before arriving in Washington. The FBI identified the pair as Douglas Ray Allred and Edward Richard Malone Jr, both former inmates with falsified ranks.

Littlefield Fat Stock Show Planned For Spring

The Littlefield Chamber of Commerce directors voted to sponsor a fat stock show this spring on Saturday March 25. The Fifth Annual event will be at the Higginbotham Bartlett building, same as last year, with Raymond L. King, vocational agriculture instructor, invited to again manage the show.

Enlisted Man Foils Phony Lieutenant in Houston

An enlisted man spotted a counterfeit officer on a downtown street and saluted. He detained the man and turned him over to police. The costume included gold bars hat and blouse. all were recovered and traced to an Ellington Field Air Corps officer.
