A company employee said workers were felled when a new man prepared the solution.
U S president Harry S Truman dies at 88 ending a life that spanned county office to the presidency. The nation observes a day of mourning with President Nixon and Mrs. Nixon and Lyndon B Johnson and Mrs. Johnson attending to lay wreaths at the Truman library. Burial planned for Thursday in the library courtyard after a 24 hour public viewing.
American warplanes return to action over Hanoi Haiphong and Bac Thai as air strikes threaten to destroy targets in the heartland. Hanoi radio claims eight B52 bombers shot down while North Vietnam says 61 planes downed since Dec 18.
Gerry Burton Dorls Wuestenhaugen learned to ride in a mirrored arena on Wiesbaden’s third floor. Michael J. DeRosa trained on a Syracuse area farm. They met at a German military stable and married with an honor guard of 10 white horses. Now retired from the military, the DeRosas pass their equestrian passion to newer generations on the South Plains teaching Western riders, while Cologne natives teach European-style riding in Lubbock.
