The 4700 block of 27th Street has adopted a large family for Christmas for three years. This year the family has 15 members including a father who earns about $50 weekly and a mother, with 13 children. The father’s disability limits the work he can do, yet all school aged children attend. Mrs. Helen Moseley initiated the block effort.

Seven Firemen Injured In Newark Blaze
Seven firemen were injured on Saturday as a blaze swept three downtown Newark apartment buildings.
