Two Die In Highway 380 Head On Collision
Two men died in a head on wreck 1 mile west of here on highway 380 early Saturday. Harry Patton Fletcher, 38, of Brownfield drove a panel truck and Amos L. Smith, 29, of Littlefield piloted a semi tractor trailer. Both were killed instantly. Fletcher was returning to Brownfield after a route via Denver City Plains Broncho and Sundown for Modern Steam Laundry. Smith was helping haul cotton for the Co Op Gin at Tokio, where his father Amos B. Smith manages. Fletcher’s funeral is set for 2 p.m. today at Spur Church of Christ.
