Business Leaders See 1965 as Not a Problem Year
A group of business executives told President Johnson that 1965 should not be a problem year for the economy. Frederick Kappel of AT&T said midyear predictions of a downturn are unlikely and that with dialogue and reduced red tape, business can provide jobs and needed goods. The session aimed to begin ongoing talks between business and the White House.
