Search Halt in Hashish Plot Bear Case Near Redding
U S customs agents halted the hunt for a Himalayan bear linked to a $625,000 hashish smuggling plot in Northern California. Two cages packed with narcotics were found, one with 60 pounds of hashish. a dead bear was later found near Redding as authorities pursued four suspects and sought others.
