Nude Amarillo woman found under cattle feeder
The nude body of 40 year old Kathryn Louise Sands was found Wednesday afternoon 12 miles west of Amarillo. Dental records identified her as the missing woman reported August 6. This marks the second such discovery in 43 days, following Linda Simmons aged 24 found July 13 near a highway intersection.

Old Trooper Succumbs at 80 Ted Lewis Dies
New York bandleader Ted Lewis died at age 80 from a heart attack. A vaudeville white hat performer who led top bands in the 1920s and 1930s, he popularized Is Everybody Happy and Sunny Side of the Street.
