Black delegates plan caucus to push for Nixon action
Pail Jones and other black Nixon supporters say about 150 delegates will caucus on Monday to draft an alternate platform. They allege the national committee softened rules to ensure equal opportunity for all voters and will push programs for the next four years. They cite Nixon appointing more black officials and cite civil rights voting records, while accusing some Democratic leaders at the convention of self interest.
