The Federal Works agency allocates over 31000 to seven Texas towns for 701640 in postwar public works. Funds repayable without interest when construction begins. Allocations cover Huntsville Negro high school Dormitory at North Texas State Teachers College Denton Muenster municipal building Sweetwater park facilities hospital and police station Cleburne sewage improvements Pelly pavements Pottsboro water works improvements.
Senator Tom Connally said he will travel to Europe to gain first hand information for guiding Congress in making treaties with Germany and Italy. He spoke in Austin after addressing a Jefferson Day dinner and noted the Senate foreign affairs committee, which he chairs, may tour Europe in November or December.
