Parade of Bands Opens 53rd Panhandle Fair Week
More than thirty high school bands from the South Plains and eastern New Mexico prepare to march in the Parade of Bands as the fair opens September 28 at Panhandle South Plains Fair Park. Women's Status To Be Studied In Texas
The Governor's Commission on the Status of Women in Texas will meet August 28 and 29 in Austin to study problems affecting women. Lubbock appointees include Miss Willa Vaughn Tinsley and several named ladies.
