UNICEF Eyes Drug Prevention Aid for Developing Nations
UN agencies may expand UNICEF efforts to educate children on drug prevention in developing countries. Henry R. Labouisse proposes programs using radio TV schools and social workers to counter growing child addiction linked to tourists and migrant workers from affluent countries. He notes some nations already seek help and discusses training fellowships and partnerships with UN bodies. New Orleans born Labouisse highlights UNICEF involvement in broad modern problems while recalling past approval to distribute contraceptives.
