Car rear-ends parked truck. two killed in Lubbock
A southbound car struck a parked concrete pipe truck on Avenue A near 9th Street at 4 33 a m. Both occupants, Jesus Trevo Bentancourt 45 and Petra Garcia Bentancourt 40 of 607 37th St were dead on arrival at Methodist Hospital. They were not wearing seat belts. The truck owner is J C Edwards of Grand Prairie. The fatality count in Lubbock this year rises to five citywide and seven in the county.
