EC121 crash in Thailand kills 18 Air Force crew
An Air Force EC121 aircraft crashed on takeoff at Korat base Thailand killing all 18 crew. Pentagon sources say the plane served in Vietnam for command and control guiding fighters and bombers and that no survivors were found. The crash occurred as the aircraft left Korat to strike enemy concentrations in Laos and South Vietnam.

Tech Students Plane Crash Near Kyle
Four Texas Tech students escaped serious injury when their light Cessna crashed about 7 40 p.m. Friday, 3144 miles northwest of here. Pilot Ronald Cliff 21 of Childress and passenger Ralph Fuller 19 of Kyle were admitted to San Marcos hospital, both not seriously injured. Eddie Smith 20 of Lubbock and Morris Birdwell 22 of Jordan were uninjured.
