The area including Lubbock and the South Plains is forecast for scattered thundershowers and lower to mid 90s after a season high of 92 recorded Saturday. Dust may linger and a late night warm spell is expected with continued partly cloudy conditions through Monday. A separate item notes a 72 year old man, William L. Twister damages Hobbs lumber yard. roof tumbles onto neighboring home

A small tornado hit southwest Hobbs at 3:45 p m injuring no one. It wrecked a lumber yard building and lifted its roof onto the adjacent house. Walter Famariss of Builders Supply Co. estimated damage at eight to nine thousand dollars. No injuries reported.

Burglars Enter Lubbock Home

Burglars ransacked a private Lubbock residence Saturday as the family was away. Mr and Mrs Joe Logan reported 20 shirts five pajamas eight men s underwear and a gold wrist watch missing after thieves cut a locked screen to gain entry.
