Plane Crash In Lub bock County Injures Two

A small private Piper PA 18 crashed into a plowed field in south Lubbock County Sunday afternoon, injuring two men identified as pilot-instructor Bob Cole and student Bob Chapman. Both were taken to Methodist Hospital in fair condition with cuts and bruises. no witnesses were reported. The craft was a total loss with wings stripped and fuselage twisted. Chapman was being trained in crop dusting for Miles E. Gibson’s business based at Lubbock South Airport.
