A Minnesota flood claims Mrs. Jesse J. Raser as 18,000 evacuees are counted. Spring floods hit Iowa Illinois Wisconsin North Dakota Montana and Missouri with 31,000 displaced. La Crosse prepares four new dikes for the Mississippi crest while Red Cross aids in relief efforts. President Johnson tours major Iowa cities amid disaster areas as waters rise in Quincy Illinois and surrounding counties. Weather updates promised on Page 6.
Prime Minister Harold Wilson voiced strong support for President Johnson's Viet Nam policy but said Britain cannot significantly increase material aid.
