Seven Hurt In Wrecks Friday on Lubbock South Plains
Seven people were injured in mishaps across Lubbock and the South Plains Friday. The worst injuries occurred in a collision 10 miles north of Lorenzo involving Mr and Mrs Casimiro Gutierrez in West Texas Hospital late Friday. The Gutierrez couple, ages about 67 and 65, suffered lacerations and fractures. Their grandson Gilbert Gutierrez Jr and Raymond, both hurt in the same crash, were treated for abrasions and discharged. Tommy Neel, 19, was treated for finishes from a scooter collision with a car at 58th Street and Avenue P. Sandra Wilkins, 16, riding with Wilson Earl Crow, plunged over an embankment near Buffalo Lakes. Wilkins sustained multiple injuries and was later dismissed from the hospital. Crow escaped injury.
