A Pan Am flight from San Juan to Miami carrying 84 passengers and seven crew was hijacked Sunday by four Spanish speaking men armed with guns and a knife. The jet landed in Havana four hours after the forced stop with all aboard except the hijackers. One gunman forced a stewardess to buy a drink. another man wore a Bible and stayed aboard, while the fourth carried only a Bible but released it later. Two hijackers surrendered weapons to Cuban authorities. the rest remained aboard or in secured areas. This marked the 25th commercial hijacking to Cuba that year, with 1,739 passengers and crew affected.
