In Cagayan de Oro a jet carrying passengers is seized by three Muslims armed with grenades and pistols. They force the plane to circle an airport for 90 minutes and threaten to harm hostages if demands are not met. Authorities report the hijackers claim to be bound for the Persian Gulf.
