Police probe unknown killer follows the murder of Sonja McCaskie 24 a British Olympic skier found slain in her Reno apartment. District Attorney William Baggio says 32 people questioned including a 24 year old University of Nevada teaching assistant named in a paternity suit and the former husband Jeffrey Schmidt 31 of Chico California who reported the crime. Authorities say no suspect identity yet.

Bus Mishap Kills Seven Near Oroville California
A Greyhound bus fell 120 feet from a rain slick mountain highway near Oroville injuring eight others. The Reno to San Francisco coach plunged through a 50 foot g thru guard rail on Feather River Canyon Highway No. 40A forty miles east of Oroville killing seven instantly and injuring several more. Witnesses described passengers screaming as they were hurled among wreckage and seats. Highway patrol and sheriff's deputies aided rescue by forming lines down the slope to move the injured to the road. The crash occurred along a relatively level stretch after a descent from the Sierra.
