Four-party team to recover missing American airmen

Rioting Inmates Seize Wing At Rhode Island Prison

At Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institution in Cranston inmates briefly controlled part of a maximum security wing. About 150 to 200 involved, with fires set in a carpenter shop and machine shop. Two to three guards injured, one seriously, as authorities coaxed inmates back to cells after a four hour disturbance.

Federal Court Rules Impounded Highway Funds Illegal

The U S Court of Appeals ruled Monday that President Nixon's impoundment of federal highway construction funds is illegal. The 2 to 1 decision says funds appropriated by Congress must not be withheld for non highway purposes. The ruling supports Missouri and upholds Judge Becker's finding that impoundment caused injury through inflation and halted highway obligations.

Army Captain Robert T. White the last American prisoner of war freed in Vietnam will depart Clark Air Base Philippines for home Wednesday ending Operation Homecoming.
