Captain Johnson died, then Mrs Johnson, and their son George Holcomb later learned his father’s whereabouts after finding a letter in Coleraine. The elder Holcomb, now remarried with several children, runs a farm and draws a pension. He and George may never reunite as the father remains distant, while George works as a night watchman at a West Brookfield depot.
Five academy students who docked a fellow student in a bathtub had the tables turned yesterday. The boy's father had them arrested for assault and battery, and they were held in 1000 bonds to appear at the December term of court. Bail was furnished by the principal and vice principal of the academy. The murder trial of Robert and Albert Jnames began in Concord NH as jurors were impaneled and the court adjourned to view the scene of the crime. The trial is expected to last several days.
