In Frye court Patrick McAndrews faced drunkenness and assault on Officer Breen after a dispute at Cross street. The officer was grabbed by the coat and struck during a yard struggle while Mrs McAndrews intervened. McAndrews was found guilty and fined 15 for assault and 3 for drunkenness. other defendants, Kate Martin Annie Doran Albert Spooney and Edward Reed faced jail or workhouse sentences for related charges. Reed was found not guilty.

Veteran hack driver Elias Clark, 60, was seriously hurt when his hack collided with electric car 126 at Pearl and Middlesex. He suffered a compound skull fracture and scalp wounds. admitted to St Johns Hospital in critical condition. Clark, a well known longtime driver, had family visiting as he lay unconscious.
