Patrick J Savage co councilman and General Court member dies suddenly at his home corner Jefferson and Market streets Boston born 23 years ago moved to the city as a child. He led a thrifty grocery business with his brother and served Ward One from 1889 to 1901 before moving to the General Court. He leaves three brothers and a sister. Funeral at St Patrick's church Wednesday morning.

An alarm from box 13 at 9 50 this morning reported a fire at 113 Chapel Street, a two story frame house owned by A C Wheelock. An overheated stove caused the blaze which spread to an upper tenement occupied by a widow named Riley and her son who were absent. The lower unit survived but the upper was gutted and roof damaged. the building insured, while Mrs Riley’s household goods were destroyed and she is uninsured. Firemen went all out about 10 15.
