Superior Court Judge Wait Presides in Lowell Sitting
The October sitting of the superior civil court opened this morning at the city courthouse with Judge Wait presiding. After jurors were sworn and the list read, the case of Michael O’Boyle against the Lowell Bleachery was nonsuited, and the court adjourned to 9:30 a.m. tomorrow. If Wednesday brings no new trial cases, the court will be moved to Cambridge and ongoing cases will be deferred. In Belfast Maine on October 5 a large stable, fish market, lumber, and a block housing a paint shop, barber shop and four tenements burned early today. Estimated loss reaches $10,000.
