Mayor Casey announced Elzear H. Choquette as a park commission member to succeed Thalles P. Hall whose term expired last May. Choquette, born in St. John's Quebec, has long lived in Lowell and is part owner of the Lowell One Price Company. The appointment goes before the city council tonight as streets committee plans to rename about 75 streets, starting with a list of 10, including Carter, Court, Davis, Davey, Falmouth, Fulton, Hovey, James, Lennox, and Sterling avenues and streets.
