The body of Mrs. Laura L. Whiting of 15 West Cottage street Roxbury was found at 7 30 oclock Friday night in the toilet room of Greenwood depot Wakefield. Medical Examiner Jack of Melrose said death was due to heart failure. She was awaiting a train to Boston after visiting Mrs. Frank Staples on Oak street. Active in Women Relief Corps and several fraternal orders she leaves two sons and a daughter.

A late item reports two men from Lowell arrested near Lowell Junction last Monday for using a ferret.

Thomas Scannell of 152 Colburn street was taken from the rear of 129 Mast Merrimack street at 6 25 AM with head contusions and a possibly broken ankle. He was left at St John’s hospital after a fall down stairs caused by a broken step. An early-morning runaway on Mammoth road involved milk wagon horse of JT Littledale colliding with Representative elect McKinley’s carriage, spilling milk and causing harness damage before the horse was stopped.
Mr. John J. Regan, owner of the Washington tavern, had a narrow escape when a team driven by George Clough collided with his carriage during a Friday return from Lawrence. The horse kicked free, dragging Regan along the road until he paused it. Clough aided him and they brought him back to Lowell.
