Hastings Maine November 25 One of the largest transfers in New England history completes with Wild River Lumber exchanging all village buildings and timber lands across Maine and New Hampshire to Hastings Lumber Co The deal includes manufacturing works streets sewers telephones and other town utilities plus 40000 acres of timber land 14 miles of railroad rolling stock stations and freight houses The Hastings group comprises capitalists from Portland Boston and New York The capital amount is not disclosed.
Samuel Conners, colored, was arraigned in Lynn on felonious assault charges against Mrs. Louise Butterick, stemming from Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty and was held in 10000 bail for a further hearing. He allegedly struck her with a stone or flat iron, pounding the scalp into a jelly. She remains unconscious and not expected to live.
Beverly Mass November 25 William E Norwood a well known shoe manufacturer of Seth Norwood and Co was instantly killed when an iron bar fell on the engine flywheel struck him on the head. An employee was injured in the accident. Norwood was widely known in the country for his role in the firm.
Bodies recovered include J. E. White Lewis Meyers J. M. Lighthead and Tate Pryor with J. J. Carter still missing. Other guests remain unaccounted for as rescue efforts continue among the ruins.

Valistis Charlebois aged 44 was found unconscious on the corner of Montcalm avenue and Cheever street. He died at 7 20 this morning after being carried to his host's house. Family suspects foul play though medical examiner notes only a back head wound. Charlebois left home with $1.50 and a silver watch. watch found on him, money missing. He had three children and was employed at Hood's farm. Further autopsy to follow.
