Reports from Manila dated November 28 say insurgents from the north are concentrating at Montalban and San Mateo to resist the American advance. The rebels consider the positions impregnable. General Young entered San Mateo in September and deemed it not suited for strong resistance.

An agents meeting discussed the Textile council request for a 10 percent wage advance but took no action. Reports indicate Fall River and Lowell mills may grant or oppose the proposal, with further talks planned at the next Lowell Teatre council meeting.
