Albion J Lamphere of Chelmsford a Civil War veteran died at his South street home Tuesday at 4 20 pm aged 58 He enlisted October 14 1861 Co E 26th M V M re enlisted February 1 1864 and served until August 26 1865 His two brothers also served and one died of wounds in Winchester VA in 1864 The family notes his malarial illness and declining health in later years He leaves two sons and a sister Funeral Friday at 2 pm from the family home with G A R bur ial honors by Post 185 Also Delia McHugh 24 wife of Thomas McHugh died yesterday in Mill street
Funeral services for Rebecca Barry were held yesterday morning at St Peter Church. A solemn requiem mass was celebrated by Rev Fr Saunders with Rev John McKenna as deacon and Rev W George Mullin as sub deacon. The choir directed by Mr T F Molloy performed Schmidt’s requiem mass with solos by Miss Nano Gallagher, T B Boulger, and James E Donnelly. During the procession a quartet sang O Paradise. Bearers were Richard Cuff, F X Alfred Whurtubise, Hugh Golden, Peter Riley, Alonzo R Wyman.
