George F Maguire appeared in police court today charged with feloniously assaulting his brother John Maguire at their Adams court home yesterday afternoon. John was wounded after a dinner table quarrel, slipped while gripping a knife, and was rushed to St Johns hospital. Authorities found the Maguire parents unaware of the incident as inspectors traced the case from the scene to the hospital and Adams court residence.
A thief entered James B. Moody at 108 Jenness Street in the early hours, stealing $60 from Moody’s trousers, a box of silver spoons, and opera glasses left behind by Mrs Moody. Footprints nine inches long led from the pantry window, while police, Humane Society Agent Richardson, and Captain Ken searched the scene.
