Dover New Hampshire November 11 Joseph E Kelley on trial for the murder of Cashier Joseph A Stickney of the Great Falls National bank pled guilty after opening court. He offered to plead guilty if the court set January 16 1899 as the execution date. The jury was discharged and the degree to be fixed later. Also noted: Kelley’s father Michael died from gas poisoning. James Berry a milkman died after his buggy crash on Copeland street. He was 56, survived by a widow and five children.

The 95th session of the South Middlesex Unitarian Conference met at First Parish church Cambridge with Rev. Daniels presiding. Rev. William S. Jones led devotion and Rev. Benjamin Jay Mills spoke on Christ's Test of Discipleship. Blanchard elected conference president.
Thomas Cacciola faced Judge Ely in Boston municipal court for his father Antonio's murder on October 29. Extenuating circumstances led to a manslaughter charge with $5000 bail. The alleged motive involves a quarrel over alleged abuse of a sister. Meanwhile, John Roach, alias Frank Cook, was sentenced to 25 years in the Superior Criminal Court for breaking and entering larceny and habitual criminal status in Boston. A cheerful inebriate attempting to ride a bicycle on Gorham street last night was run in by officers. Annie Howard, driving a carriage on Lakeview avenue in an unsteady state, struck a post and was thrown out. She was arrested for drunkenness and suspected to be an out-of-town woman.
