Elliott M. Lanton of Worcester aged 42 famed bicyclist was coasting down Cemetery hill at North Oxford when a wheel struck a stone. He was found unconscious and died in Oxford from brain concussion. He leaves a widow and a 14 year old son Santon rode a wheel geared up to 88.

George A. Douglass 32, in a Bartlett street Lowell residence, shot himself after a tumultuous relationship with widow Fanny O'Brien. He died or likely would die from a bullet entry near the right eighth rib, as doctors at St John’s hospital probed for the fragment. O'Brien, once engaged to Douglass, had moved away five weeks earlier and later reported threats and past carrying of a revolver. Local inquiry continues into the act and the stalled marriage plans.

Daniel Linnehan was captured in Dutton street after allegedly abusing his children on Watson street. He was booked for assault as police moved to present him. Mrs Linnehan, gravely ill, was sent to St John’s hospital where doctors fear she may not recover.

Each church may send its pastor and two lay delegates to discuss plans for new work, as the league aims to promote morality charity and good municipal government after years of limited activity since 1893.
Thistle lodge I O G T paid a fraternal visit to Red Spring lodge of Andover last evening with twenty from Thistle and several from Eirene lodge. A warm reception followed an address by Red Spring’s chief templar and a reply from Thomas Robinson of Thistle. Grand Counsellor Hector Turnbull urged continued zeal among Andover and Lowell Good Templars. Leroy T. Riley of Eirene played harmonica. speeches followed and refreshments ended a jolly gathering.

Copson’s wife Eliza A Copson testified to his post accident illness and changes in behavior. doctors described his injuries and condition. The trial featured accounts from Fr McKenna, Dr L M Gould, and others at Hyde Park station.
Testimony describes Copson’s condition after the accident with Dr. Holbrook noting his medical state and Dr. Knapp diagnosing severe mental and physical shock affecting the brain. John Ray of Hub Gore Co. testified Copson was an able elastic gore worker as the case proceeds today.

The company promises the greatest and best in entertainment with famous foreign features and famed feats attracting huge crowds.
A morning parade drew large crowds as a band wagon turned onto Central Street. Gilded wagons, cages with wild beasts, sleek horses, elephants, clowns, chariots, a lion atop a wagon, a pony, and a calliope thrilled spectators. The procession promises two good performances today.
