Burglars Caught After Harlem Shootout

Lost A Foot Caught By An Engine At Dutton Street

Body Identified In Saco River Death Case
Coroner in Biddeford Maine identified the body found in the Saco river as John Blais an 18 year old French Canadian and son of Louis Blais of the city. Blais had been missing since January 18 after leaving home promising to meet a friend Thomas Cloutier. The father and brother identified the body by cuffs borrowed the night of disappearance. Coroner Dennett ruled death by self harm or accident and no inquest was held.

Jockey Fatally Shot by Wife in Esplenborough Police

Attleboro May 23 Grace Theresa Cusick ten year old daughter of Patrick Cusick Hebronville drowned last evening at seven in Hebron pond. Four children played in a boat moored to the bank by a chain when it drifted out panic ensued and two leaped into ten feet of water. Thos J Ferus aged fifteen saved one child but Grace was drowned. Old Man Drowns In Merrimack River Near Hunt's Falls
A laborer believed to be Thomas Kelly, about 60 to 70, waded into the Merrimack River near Hunt's falls around 9:30 am and disappeared. Engineers and an undertaker searched the area with grappling irons but found no body. Friends say it was not suicide, noting Kelly’s habit of bathing clothed and drying garments by a river fire, and doubt he left home or intended to end his life.
