Gladys Gohan daughter of Edward and Isabella Gohan died at her parents Chelmsford home aged 1 year 9 months 10 days. Mrs Bessie Cahill wife of James J Cahill died Monday at Carney hospital South Boston aged 29. Services at St Mary Boston at 9 tomorrow. Remains sent to Lowell for burial arriving northern depot 11 15 a m. Deceased survived by husband two brothers and one sister.
The annual May party of the Centralville Odd Fellows was held Tuesday night in the hall across the river. Sixty couples danced to the music of Atwood's orchestra with As Leach as floor manager and L. C. Hall and C. A. Parker as aides.
The mayor received a letter from a resident of L Argent Louisiana stating Jack Daly, who left Lowell thirteen or fourteen years ago, was drowned in the Mississippi River while fishing on April 23.

The Merrimack Valley Universalist conference began at Grace Church with Rev. W. Gibbs of Lawrence leading the opening service and Rev. R. C. Bolles of Melrose delivering an address on the future of Universalism. Bolles urged applying religion to both life and society with unwavering principles. A 20-foot national flag was later unfurled from the church tower as the event continued with further speeches. dinner was served in the basement.

A five member committee from Lowell city government visited the city to inquire into the assessors department. They spent a half hour at City Hall and left at 10:10 for Somerville on a similar mission. The Lawrence Sun reported the dispatch.
