At a Boston meeting of the Republican State central committee the executive committee report opposing any reform of representation basis was approved. Middlesex county shows Lowell leading with a 1634 percent gain, earning 56 delegates next year, with ward by ward increases proposed. Cambridge and Somerville gained only two each. George W. Poore's efforts noted as key, a seven member committee was appointed to propose a fairer apportionment for next year.
F. E. Bridges, accused of passing a bogus draft in Williamsport Maryland, used Knights of Pythias credentials and a claimed lodge membership to swindle M Herbert. A cryptic note at Mani’a Bay invites action with a line from Dewey. It promises safe freedom to use limited ammunition provided by the Provident Life and Trust Co of Philadelphia if a call is delivered to F. Marden in Room 8 at Courier-Citizen Building. The message touts a “well worth your attention” company run by Quaker founders and managers.

Otis reports McArthur with two brigades began an advance at Novaliches near Caloocan. Wheaton and Hale brigades move on respective lines while Otis plans a feint to swing behind the enemy as 12,000 strong forces resist. Despatches sent to the President. fighting said to be about 20 hours with heavy American losses.
Michael Sullivan shared a bed with the suspect who was beaten and attacked. the woman involved was arrested following the incident.
London March 25 Cambridge won the Oxford Cambridge boat race finishing four lengths ahead. Two Oxford crew members fainted during the event. Official time was 21 minutes 4 seconds. Cambridge now leads 24 of 56 races, with betting at 11 to 4 on Cambridge.
March 25 in Worcester, Patrick Hassett was beaten on the head with an iron bar while asleep by Mrs. Thomas Carey, described as insane. He was attacked twice and died from the injuries.

Donnelly was treated at City Hall by Dr. Brunelle who sewed the wound with about 23 stitches from a past injury. He works for Quinn's market wagon and remarked I haven't been to Santiago but I have the wounds all right.

John H Flynn and John H Dunlavey the last of the beggars arrested last Tuesday were disposed of by Judge Hadley in the police court Flynn given a trial on probation and Dunlavey discharged after witnesses testified Flynn claimed work since January including a month in Lowell Machine Shop while also helping as a painter Mrs Flynn corroborated his story Armour rape case postponed for Tuesday. Two Poles charged with destroying property pleaded guilty and fined. John A Rourke fined $18 after repeated drunkenness and arrest. sent to State farm on new charge.
Miss Myrtle Green and Mr Amos Lunn of Summersfield N B were married Wednesday March 22 at the Town Street Methodist church. The bride wore black satin. A reception followed at the groom’s sister’s home on Merrimack Street and the couple departed on the 7 45 train for Boston amid rice and good wishes.

William B. Knapp died in the city on March 24 at age 50 years 10 months and 22 days. Funeral services will be at his residence 407 Moody Street on Monday at 2 PM. Friends invited.
