In Associate hall last evening the Burkes defeated Co L of Lawrence 3 to 0 with over 500 spectators present. O'Brien scored the first goal for the Burkes, Tierney added the second, and Tierney again tallied the final goal from a foul as the Burkes' defense held firm. The Lawrence team showed early rough play and strong passing from Casey, but could not break through the Burkes’ superior all round work. The match featured injuries, fouling, and a late flare of excitement before umpire Redmond settled the game.
The funeral services for Thomas J. Harris were held at his home on Mammoth Road with Rev. David Murray officiating. Burial was in Jackson Cemetery. The funeral of Mrs Charlotte Lee occurred at 2 PM at her home on Grand Street with Rev. S T Ford officiating and J B Currier arranging. Singing by Mrs Floyd and Mrs Knox. Burial followed at Lowell Cemetery.
Alfred D. Barker died at his son George F Barker's home in Lawrence early today at age 89. He belonged to Mechanics Lodge TI O F and the Old Residents' association.

Leonard H Corneck dies at 7 years 9 months. funeral at No 78 Blossom street. Alfred D Barker dies in Lawrence at 89. funeral at Edson cemetery chapel. Mr Graves denies ownership of a horse that ran away in front of the Savoy theatre Monday night.
