Colonel Almond Senter a Grand Army veteran born in New Hampshire served in Massachusetts volunteers during the Civil War. He died at his desk in Shoshone Idaho March 6 at 54 after a long life as carpenter merchant and G A R leader leaving a widow daughter Irene and son Clyde with the Manila volunteers. Jeremiah Fitzgerald longtime city resident died at 326 Concord Street from pneumonia after a lifelong Catholic community presence leaving a wife and three daughters and a son William T. in Boston.
The funeral for Elbridge G. Spalding took place yesterday from his Westford home. Burial was in West Chelmsford Cemetery under Undertaker Richardson. A Chelmsford native, he lived 35 years in Westford and was a major local landowner. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. E. H. Russell of Chelmsford and Mrs. Houghton of Harvard, and a son, O. E., at home in Westford.
