Boston March 15 George Dewey the only admiral in the American navy will appear in color on the doll page of next Sundays Globe. The doll, unpasted, shows a fine likeness and tells the admiral life story in a new teaching format for all ages. Mr Dooey writes exclusively for Sundays Globe in New England.
Susie Dundes of 8 Osborne Street Salen asks the city clerk for information about her 15 year old brother John Dundes. She says he was taken from the Sisters home in Salem three years ago by Alix Clothier. Clothier’s supposed address was 70 or 75 Front Street, but mail returns unopened. Lowell directory lists Clothier with no clear current address.
In Billerica Oswald Merton Kimball aged 21 years 1 month 10 days. In this city Mrs Martha L Coolidge wife of Edward F Coolidge Marlboro of Marlboro died March 16. In Chelmsford Harry F Merrill aged 26 years 10 months 28 days. Funeral Sunday 3 PM at F A Russells Chelmsford. Burial Plymouth New Hampshire.
Madrid reports the Queen Regent has signed a peace treaty between Spain and the United States. Manila expects a possible climax at any moment and officials anticipate an imminent end to fighting. Otis notes 2 killed and 2 wounded on the 15th plus 2 killed and 7 wounded on the 16th. The transport Sherman with the Third and Seventeenth infantry reached Singapore. all aboard are well.
Manila report states Company G of the Washington regiment captured 150 more prisoners near Taguig and seized ammunition. Rebel arms were hidden or thrown into the river. Engineers built a temporary bridge across the Pasig for artillery and commissary trains as the Twentieth regiment returns from the front.
Port Arthur Ont March 17 Oliver Prevost was hanged at 8 o clock this morning for the murder of two French swine herders two years ago. The evidence was circumstantial with Prevost's mistress as the principal witness.
Six men have died of scurvy in the Copper River district this winter with twenty more sick in hospital. Many miners are leaving for the coast from Valdes Alaska as conditions worsen.
North Reading born Hutchinson built a fortune in Chicago wheat speculation after failed hotel and Lynn shoe ventures. He profited largely from the 1888 wheat corner, reportedly earning about 1 million dollars as prices hit 2 per bushel. He later died in a Wisconsin sanitarium after a storied career in option trading.

Mrs Catherine Clancy aged 77 died Thursday at her home 17 Cedar street, a longtime Lowell resident. Her husband Francis Clancy a former Boston and Maine railroad flagman survives. Mrs James J Courtney of this city is her daughter.
