A forged match with Joseph Doherty's rogue gallery photo was noted by inspectors. Doherty had been jailed in 1896 for breaking and entering with Martin Higgins. Kenney claimed Lowell as his home at that period.
A 32-year-old vagrant drunk peddler smashed a car window on the Lawrence electrics. The vehicle stopped at Indian Orchard sheds. officers at Carter and Sherburne were alerted, police met the car at First and Bridge, and the man was taken to the station and locked up.

The ceremony at St John’s Episcopal church featured Miss M Louisa Coggeshall as bridesmaid and Melrcs C Titus as best man. The bride wore Bengaline silk with bride’s roses, the bridesmaid in yellow muslin and also carried roses. W F Trumbell played Mendelssohn’s wedding march before the ceremony. A relatives-only reception followed and the couple, Mr and Mrs Brannan, will reside at 14 Lyon street and be at home after April 5.
The late Martin J L Hamblet's funeral took place at 359 Walker Street at 2 30 PM with Rev R A Greene of Grace Universalist Church presiding. Delegations attended from William North lodge of Masons Pilgrim commandery and Lowell Bar Association. Masonic rites occurred at the house. Apollo quartette sang. Bearers were Masonic members. Burial followed in Edson cemetery under J A Weinbeck direction.
