Minneapolis March 7 Chas Hanson a Swede broke the world record lifting 5609 pounds with one finger without harness last night. The previous record of 553 pounds was held by Louis Cyr Hanson claims the championship on the one finger.
Pittsburg March 7 Four hundred National Tube Co employees at McKeesport were notified of a 10 percent wage rise effective April 1. This marks the second 10 percent increase within six months.

The Lynn and Boston Street Railway has gained control of the Wakefield and Stoneham and Wakefield Salem and Gloucester lines, planning smoother Lowell to Lynn or Boston travel. Regular through Lowell to Boston tickets may be offered for 25 cents via Arlington Heights and the Boston Elevated.
