Fire destroys stable and damages tenement in Lawrence
A June 4 blaze at an unoccupied stable owned by the Stanley Brewing Company on Oxford Street caused about 5000 in loss. Two alarms summoned firefighters who also damaged a nearby Stanley-owned tenement, with several nearby houses charred. The tenement valued at 2000 housed three families who saved some possessions. Authorities suspect incendiary origin.
Nagle Decapitated in Freight Yard Death
In Beverly on June 4 Frank Nagle was decapitated with limbs scattered along the road bed. A pint whiskey bottle remained unharmed in his coat pocket. He was a 35 year old foreman for a contracting firm at the crossing, likely struck by a train after wandering into the freight yard.

Fire at Tolman Avenue Cottage Damages Home
An alarm from box 73 shortly before noon sent firefighters to a Tolman Avenue cottage occupied by Mr James J Gaynor and family. Thick smoke issued from the upper part of the house and the fire was found between partitions on the upper floor, extinguished quickly with considerable damage reported.

Man Acquitted in Pawtucket Bar Fight Death
Charles King was acquitted of manslaughter for the death of John J. Folan, caused by delirium tremens after a May 21 barroom altercation. Physicians testified Folan’s death resulted from delirium tremens, not injuries from the fight.

Montreal man killed on railroad tracks in Fall River
Aimie Robillard a 45 year old resident of Montreal was found dead on the Consolidated railroad tracks at Steep Brook this morning. He appeared to have been struck by a train and his skull was badly crushed. Robillard had been visiting friends in Fall River.
