Presbyterian Creed Revision Committee Reports Tentative Work
The Presbyterian creed revision committee, after meetings in Washington through December 14, 1901, issued a tentative statement of the reformed faith in sixteen articles and a declaratory statement on specified chapters. A Philadelphia meeting is planned for February 1902 to continue work and a five member sub committee was formed to draft revisions. The plan is seen by local ministers as a bid to push declaratory plans ahead of the full 1903 assembly.
