Asa C. Bushnell, cashier of the Yale National Bank in New Haven, shot himself in the bank toilet and died later at Grace Hospital. An examiner was in the bank that morning for a routine semi annual visit, but officials say accounts were in order and death was due to overwork and illness, not financial trouble. Bushnell, 47, had served 21 years with the bank and leaves a wife and two children.
