Rome reports the Italian cabinet formally tendered its resignation to King Humbert this morning. The decision leaves the king to decide and Marquis Rudini, the current premier, is expected to form a new ministry.
Canton Ohio December 6 Mrs McKinley survived the night and a faint spark of hope remains this morning though she is much weaker. The family kept vigil at the bedside all night expecting the end moment by moment.
Captain Thompson of a Japanese steamer reports strong interest in the Klondike gold fields in Japan and says that in the spring as many as 10,600 Japanese will embark for the Yukon.
In a Monday session Judge Hadley disposed of drunks, with 23 confined. Ten fined $1, three $3, two $5 and one $10. a North Andover man with paint faced an exemplary fee. Five others jailed for five months, including George Shields and Rose A. Carney. Bedel allowed to settle Boston and Maine ticket embezzlement. Robertson received continuance. Katherine Giles guilty of larceny yet placed on probation due to dependents.
The government ordnance department has supplied guns for the soldiers' lot at Lowell cemetery. On Memorial day the Ladies' Relief Corps will place a handsome granite urn there as a tribute.

Guy Hamilton Burrage advanced to lieutenant after earlier ensign commission on June 1 1889 and naval duties at Annapolis Union Iron Works San Francisco with Wheeling at San Francisco now bound for Alaska.
