Word arrived Tuesday night of the death of Rev. Michael O'Brien permanent rector of St. Patrick's church in Kilaloe Ireland. He was born May 1 1825 in Ballina County Tipperary and ordained February 17 1849 in Buffalo. He built churches in New York and Pennsylvania and led St Patrick's Rochester before moving to Lowell as pastor after his uncle.
Adam Seiats of New London was fined 46 dollars in the United States district court in New Haven for refusing to answer questions posed by a census enumerator.
